The Gateway Chronicles 4: The Enchanted
Darcy Pennington is finally able to admit that she has feelings for Prince Tellius of Alitheia. Not only is she willing to follow her prophesied path, she just might be eager to…if she only knew how. But on returning to Alitheia with her friends, she finds Tellius struggling with an abundance of losses which pushes them both to the brink. When Darcy goes to the alchemist Rubidius for answers, he provides her only with secrets she must keep from the others, further driving a wedge between her and the people she loves.
In the meantime, darkness doesn’t sleep, so Darcy and her friends set out to close one of Tselloch’s gateways, seeking to drive him out of Alitheia as the Prophecy of the Six says they must. But when faced with practicing their magic against Tselloch’s evil power, nothing turns out as expected.
With the threat of death and darkness always hanging over her, Darcy wonders if there is any hope at all for her and Tellius, or for Alitheia.
